Smart 453 Footwell LED

If you didn’t spec your Smart 453 with the Genuine Ambient Lighting System then you may find the cockpit of your car a bit dark when doing night-time driving. This isn’t a Genuine Smart accessory but one we have developed and worked out ourselves to offer you a great substitute for the Smart “Orange” Footwell Lights. When we were working on this one we wanted to try and go as close to possible to using factory parts but ultimately it was always going to be orange which we didn’t think was right.

Our system offers you three selectable colours which can be switched at the rear of the footwell LED to give you the colour appropriate to your car and mood. As these lights are slightly bigger we have created our own custom aluminium brackets so they can install nicely and neatly in your footwell to give you the best possible output. The passenger side mount is mounted using high-bond double-sided tape and the driver’s side uses a bolt already in place. The wiring can be installed however you want it. Either to come on when your lights come on or when the interior light is on. In our opinion, we think these look better than the Smart offering.

As it’s a product that we’ve developed we’re offering it as a DIY option with our instructional video (Seen below) on how you can do all of this yourself. If you’re not that way inclined we can install them for you.
